| We use band sawn or hand-cut beams to make a decorative fireplace to suit your design. We would warn against using oak as a lintel to support masonry as this needs immovabe support. Where the lintel is above a fire the oak will shrink. Therefore we suggest a steel or concrete beam behind or abovee with a chunky oak front. |
