Decking

	This project was commissioned by Mr G Hitman in Lancashire. in June 2002. It is part decking and part tree house.
The decking was supported off living trees in addition to 2 posts at the prow end and the ground at the back. A 50mm space was left around the tree trunks to enable the trees to continue their natural growth. It is envisaged that this space will need to be enlarged at some time in the future.
	The decking covered an area of 90 sq metres and comprised an upper and lower area and featured natural seating, steps and a cantilevered "prow". The cantilevered section was some 3 metres above ground level.
The cantilevered prow extended the decking over a natural stream flowing underneath.
